NUEA would like to welcome our new educators to District 203. NUEA is the sole bargaining agent for certified staff members in District 203, including teachers, therapists, nurses, psychologists, and more. NUEA is affiliated with the Illinois Education Association (IEA) and the National Education Association (NEA).

NUEA is led by the executive board, building representatives, and you! They are assisted by the UniServ Director, who is the liaison between the local union and the IEA. Leadership positions are chosen by vote, and any member may opt to run. NUEA is an entirely democratic organization.

Building reps will hold ten-minute informational meetings approximately once a month. Please plan on attending those meetings. Your membership also provides you with liability insurance from IEA, along with many other protections and benefits from IEA and NEA that are available solely to members.
